Code does the hiding, before ClientClue AI sees a word. Columns that hold names, phones or emails are never shown to ClientClue AI as examples. After you add a file, ClientClue shows how many of each kind it hid and a sample of the hidden messages.
Hiding catches the usual shapes of personal details. It can miss something unusual, so look at the sample before you start, and tell us if you see anything it missed.
Where it is processed
- ClientClue runs on Google Cloud in the EU
- ClientClue AI reads only the hidden version of each message
- The file you upload is not kept. Only the hidden messages are stored
- Your messages are not used to train models, and they are never sold
Keeping and deleting
Yours to delete
Your hidden messages, issues and reports stay in your workspace until you delete them. You can delete a project, with all its messages and reports, from inside ClientClue at any time.
Messages sent through the free try-it page are deleted an hour after you send them.
To delete your whole account, ask on the contact page and we delete the account and its projects.
A share link opens one report and nothing else, and anyone who has the link can read it.
Agreements
A data processing agreement on Business
The Business plan includes a data processing agreement, a short contract that sets out how ClientClue handles the messages you add. Teams that need one for their own records or their customers can have it from the start.
The law
The Nigeria Data Protection Act, in plain words
The Nigeria Data Protection Act sets rules for anyone who handles other people's personal data.
When you add a file of customer messages, you are the data controller: you decide why the data is used. When ClientClue reads the file for you, ClientClue is the processor. It reads on your behalf and uses the messages for nothing else.
ClientClue helps by hiding personal details first, keeping only the hidden text, processing in the EU and letting you delete what you added. It does not decide for you whether your own use of the messages is lawful.
